Though it’s not quite officially summer time, the 103˚ weather would have us feeling otherwise. Last weekend, we welcomed the first of our visitors to kick off the 2014 summer. It was Hadley’s first time meeting Albert, and they bonded immediately.
We didn’t schedule nearly as many “activities” as last summer, but we did manage to make it to the Los Angeles Flower Market one morning. We brought home some of our favorites and are definitely not professionals, but had fun putting together an arrangement to enjoy. (savannah also snagged a few more succulents that may make an appearance later ;)
Of course, Albert was nearby for support.

Albert’s favorite activity, of course, was going to the beach. That boy loves the sand and is quite entertaining to watch gallop around. A big wave snuck up on him and he did not like getting soaked, though. ;)
