savannah + brandon + albert the doggie

things we see, eat and do

moving in

January 9, 2013 //

The U-Box arrived at the LA U-Haul on Thursday afternoon and they were able to get it delivered at 11 a.m. Friday. Everything arrived exactly as shipped and we were able to get most of the things unpacked before our big shipment arrived. It was so great to have a chair–sitting on the floor with no pillows gets old after a while! Again, for anyone considering a U-Box, we had an excellent experience throughout the process and would highly recommend it if it fits your needs.

Nate, the driver of our goods, Texted Brandon and said he would be here Sunday morning at 7 a.m. to unload if that worked for us. As promised, we got an early start Sunday morning. Brandon’s friend from undergrad at A&M, Justin, came to visit and spent the better part of the day helping us lift and assemble heavy goods. We’re so blessed to have such great friends in the area already. After a long and productive day unpacking, Brandon filled out some paperwork he needed for his first day of work and we enjoyed sleeping in our real bed–yay!

Nate arrived at 6:45 a.m. Sunday for load-in.

Unpacking. Lots of unwrapping, but so far nothing's been broken [knocks on wood].
