blessing of the animals 2014

October 4, 2014 //

Each year, we look forward to the Blessing of the Animals at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. It’s so fun to see everyone’s fur babies and watch them interact–and of course it’s great that they get blessed, too!

candy + hadley visit

May 23, 2014 //

Though it’s not quite officially summer time, the 103˚ weather would have us feeling otherwise. Last weekend, we welcomed the first of our visitors to kick off the 2014 summer. It was Hadley’s first time meeting Albert, and they bonded immediately.  We didn’t schedule nearly as many “activities” as last summer, but we did manage…

big bear 2014

March 17, 2014 //

Back in January (this is really the last post that is going to start like that!) we took the youth group to Big Bear. There wasn’t any natural snow, but we did get to go tubing down the hills thanks to some snow machines. The rest of the weekend we hung out in an awesome…

the office 2013

February 7, 2014 //

Back in October, Albert and savannah took these photos of the office to share as part of the (much delayed) home tour series. Their post kept getting delayed, and then, well, we didn’t really blog at all, so here they are now. We’ve redone the room since, so look for an update… sometime. Guesses on…

thanksgiving weekend | decorating

December 13, 2013 //

After looking at the weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, we decided to spend cold, rainy Friday inside watching Frozen and decorating for Christmas. On Sunny, warm Saturday, we went to Disneyland. A good time was had by all and Michael returned to Texas Sunday after church.

albert chews his bone

November 11, 2013 //

During some low-key relaxation time yesterday afternoon, we decided to test out the video functions from our new camera, and what better subject is there than Albert? Brandon thought that the guidelines in the latest Vimeo Weekend Challenge were perfect for a test, so we shot one minute of Albert chewing on his bone to…

October 29, 2013 //

Besides the extra pep in Albert’s step on mid-morning walks, this week has been fairly routine… that’s good because these next couple are going to be pretty crazy. We worked, Albert was Albert and Roddie got a new windshield on Saturday. PS. the Olympics start in 100 days. savannah is already so excited she could…

October 23, 2013 //

Not many photos to post this week, but let’s face it–we know yall come here just to see Albert and there’s plenty of that. Saturday was Albert’s three month gotchaversary. We can’t believe we’ve only had him for two months–he’s such a big part of our family now. To celebrate, we went to Disneyland and…
